We were very pleased with clinical and academic experience for our 13 year old daughter. We also felt it was extremely helpful that the residential staff was constantly available for check ins and to act as a sounding board between therapy and group session. We liked that she had group therapy every day.She started at Sedona Sky a very dysregulated and angry teenager but worked hard to break old and maladaptive behaviors. We love the new director (Jason Metzger) and we feel they have made MAJOR improvements to their residential life program. She was always fully supported therapeutically and the clinical team meetings helped to make sure teachers, staff and therapist were all up to speed and aware of challenges and growth. She graduated on 12/16/22 after 15 months at Sedona Sky. An added bonus that we never had expected were the many people wonderful and supportive relationships she formed. We will miss SSA and we know they are working hard to make sure that each student has the opportunity to get everything they need out of the program.
