Materials and tools needed:

drop cloth scissors ribbon

newspaper fabric with design of your own choice

Procedure:

1. Using the newspaper, place it on top of the flat drop cloth and lay the chair flat over the paper. Use the marker to trace along the outside border of the back of the chair, and cut the pattern.

2. Fold the fabric in half with the right sides joining together to have two pieces and pin the fix the pattern in place. Cut the fabric using the pattern however, leaving ½ inch allowance for stitching.

3. Place the pieces of fabric together and pin them. Sew the cloth with a sewing machine (hand stitch if you do not have a machine) but leaving the bottom edges free for the slip over.

4. Attach the ribbon by sewing or by the use of glue at the bottom corners of the chair cover.

5. Slip the chair cover over the chair back and tie the ribbons on each side so that they may fit snugly over the chair.
