Hi! I am Marla from Family Fresh Cooking and I am thrilled to be here on Oh She Glows today. This is my second feature here and I am more than thrilled to be hosted again by Angela! How is your September going? I cannot believe how quickly the time is going.
When it comes to creating new recipes I love to use seasonal offerings at their peak of flavor. Today, I’m sharing healthy breakfasts and treats that will carry you from the end of summer into fall.
All set? Let’s dig in…
Saffron Pear Baked Oatmeal: Have you ever had baked oatmeal? I cannot believe this is breakfast because really it could replace dessert for me. The saffron puts an elegant twist on a classic bowl of oats. Ready to bake your breakfast? Let’s check out just how simple this is to prepare.
Homemade Raspberry Applesauce: Applesauce has got to be one of the simplest recipes ever. It tastes great, you can adapt it to suit any season and it is all natural. Not to mention it makes your home smell amazing as it simmers. Make a big batch so you can dig in whenever you want to.
Gluten-Free Fall Harvest Fruit Crumble: This is what dreams are made of I tell ya. Fall fruits cooked until they are bursting with flavor. Baked with a blend of almond meal, oat flour, sunflower seeds, tart dried cranberries.
Spring Bouquet Popsicles: Planning on throwing a baby shower, bridal shower or a wedding? How about an elegant outdoor party? Wow your guests with edible flower pops.
Stuffed Baked Apples with Walnuts and Dates: I sure hope you love apples and nuts as much as I do. I am nuts for nuts and sweet-tangy apples paired together. If you make this recipe your home will smell amazing! Pinky promise. These stuffed apples take hardly any effort to prepare and the results are splendid. This treat is great no matter what time of year and for any time you want a healthful, vitamin packed sweet bite.
Frozen Hot Chocolate Ice Cubes: Make a splash in your iced coffee, coconut milk or almond milk!
We are obsessed with Cherry Pie Shakes: Try one after a sweaty workout to cool down!
It was great “meeting” you all! Thanks for having me Angela. I would love to stay in touch! You can also find me on Pinterest, Facebook and Twitter. To stay up to date with my blog posts grab a free email subscription.

Big thanks to Marla for this amazing round-up of recipes andstunning photography! It’s certainlythat time of the year when days can be hot enough for a popsicle and then cool enough forbaked oatmeal the next. Now, the only problem is deciding which recipe to make first! What do you think? ~ Angela

Ooh, these look wonderful, especially the raspberry applesauce! I love the dainty look of the edible flower pops but I have to say no one in my family would be adventurous enough to try those. But they would make gorgeous luminaries if you used regular water and froze them in a bowl in early spring!
Glad to meet you!
